Tyler's Birthday

I can't believe Tyler is 6 years old. Time has gone by so fast. It just seems like yesterday he was a brand new baby. He has learned to ride his bike with no training wheels, outgrown his quad, saved up his money to buy a Nintendo DS, finished Kindergarten, learned to read and write, has become a great basketball player, and is learning to share with his brother. He has grown up so much and just keeps getting bigger. We took Tyler out for lunch the day before his birthday at Sweet Tomatoes with all the family. On his birthday Patrick had to leave for girl's camp so we celebrated with dad before he left. Tyler wanted to go to Amazing Jake's for his brithday dinner, so my parents and Riley and I took him there for dinner and games. Happy Birthday big boy!

Easter

Tyler picked out his and Riley's outfits for Easter Sunday. They looked so handsome and grownup. They even got their picture taken with the Easter Bunny.

Our Flagstaff Trip

Patrick's brother is working in Flagstaff during the week framing houses, so we decided to get out of the heat and go visit him for a few days. His wife and their 3kids went and Patrick's mom and dad. He lives in a huge condo up there so that's where we all stayed. 5 little boys ranging from age 5-4months. You can only imagine how noisy it was 24/7. We hiking out in the mountains behind the condo, we took the kids to the park, and we also went to some historical house by NAU. Grandma wanted to go on a tour through the house, but they said it was already full and we would have to wait an hour for the next tour. I think that was just an excuse because they say 5 little boys and we sure we would tear things up. So Patrick took us on a tour outside around the house and we learned all about the history. That was good enough for the boys. It's nice to get away from reality of work and everything else for a few days.

Tyler Graduated From Kindergarten!

Yes the school year is already over. I can't believe how fast it has gone by. Tyler was a little sad when he realized that Thursday was his last day of school, and he wasn't going to see his friends in his class for a few months, and Mrs. Ence was not going to be his teacher anymore. He did make sure to give her a big hug before he left that day. She was an AWESOME teacher and he really liked her! We will miss her. They had a fun Kindergarten program where they invited the parents and sang songs for us, and had a photo slide show of the years activities. It was fun to watch. They also did a water day and the last day they had a McDonald's Happy Meal Party. Tyler had a great year and is looking forward to 1st grade. We just have to make it through summer break. It's not as fun when you're a parent and you're used to having a break for a little while during the day!

Mother's Day

Well it's been a crazy busy month for us, so it's been a while since I updated our blog. On Mother's Day Patrick fixed us pancakes for breakfast. He also got the boys ready for church. When we got home we went to my parent's house because my dad decided to have us and Patrick's mom and dad, his brother Matt and his wife and their kids, and his sister Micah and her husband Spencer over for dinner. My dad grilled steaks for us and made everything else to go with it. Patrick and My dad also cleaned everything up. We relaxed and enjoyed each other and the kids played and of course did some wrestling with dad/uncle Patrick. Tyler made me a really cute book at school for Mother's Day. Riley made me a cute handprint card at church, and Patrick got me some Roses and the book "The Host" by Stephenie Meyer. It was a good day!

Our Disneyland Adventure

Disneyland...The happiest place on earth!!!

Well I got this brilliant idea that we needed to take a family vacation, and what better place than Disneyland! My mom and I took the boys last spring break but Patrick couldn't go because he had to work, so we decided to do it again this year so he could go. We went a few weeks after spring break hoping that it wouldn't be as crowded. Since my brithday was the day we came home, this was sort of a birthday present to me and a fun trip for the boys. Disneyland was doing a special where you buy the 3 day park hopper pass and you get 5 days, so we went from Sunday-Thursday(4 days at Disneyland/California Adventure). Patrick and I pushed Tyler and Riley around in the strollers the whole time, so by the last day we were worn out from walking so much and those two were still going. We went on just about every ride in the parks and saw pretty much every show there was to see. Electrical Parade, Fantasmic, Aladdin, Brother Bear, Parade of Dreams, Pixar Parade, Jedi Training, Fireworks Spectacular, and too many others to remember. Patrick and I took turns going on California Screamin' which was by far the best ride ever. Tyler was able to go on most of the rides and he said his favorites were Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mtn. Railroad, these are mine too. Riley loved Buzz Lightyear and the tea cups. We had a fun family vacation and can't wait to go back again!

Riley sleeping

A couple nights ago I went in to check on Riley before I went to bed and this is how I found him sleeping.
